Restoring a iconic 1944 WW2 M1 Garand rifle
Restoring a iconic 1944 WW2 M1 garand found underwater, (with test fire). The story behind this rifle is a little odd. So here is what I know, Back in the 1980's there was a man scuba diving in the Red River in North Dakota. He found this M1 garand and displayed it in his scuba shop. Many years later someone else acquired it. After they had it for awhile they messaged me and asked if I wanted to try and restore it. Now here we are, I hope you enjoy the video. Please Consider subscribing and check out our Facebook page as well. Thanks for watching! gun restoration, m1 garand restoration

Paying tribute to Z Special Unit at memorial in Dayman Park
ABOUT 100 people gathered at the Krait Memorial in Urangan on Sunday to pay their respects to the 23 Z Special Unit operatives of Operation Rimau.
Considered the tragic sequel to the successful Operation Jaywick, Operation Rimau was an aborted attack on Japanese shipping at Singapore Harbour in October 1944.
Hervey Bay Vietnam veteran and military researcher Bob Taylor said the Z Special Unit operatives were sourced from the Fraser Island commando school, which trained more than 900 soldiers between 1943 and 1945.
